Hello citizens of Ardent! Every century the realm's greatest villagers and heroes come together to compete for the cherished Trophy of the 7 Realms. After decades of preparation, we're finally able to present to you,
The Villagers and Heroes Olympic Games!
In this tournament fighters and crafters alike will be teaming up and cooperating in a series of events in order to earn medals! Accumulating these medals will allow you to take one more step towards the reward. I warn you, these challenges will be no easy tasks, it will take team work, strategy, and a tad bit of brain power to overcome the odds.
The Olympic Games will be held on Saturday March 21st at 5:30 pm est
-Date is set in stone, timing may be subject to change
King Leo has generously offered his magnificent castle as the initial meeting point of this event so please do your best to be on time citizens, the King waits for none.
Of course, there would not be any Olympic Games if it weren't for our Gods the Otters! Once again they have taken our daily sacrifices into account to offer us incentive to participate in this death-defying tournament.
Not only have they accepted our aforementioned terms, but they have exceeded expectations yet again to raise the stakes!
Platinum = 300 crowns + 10 sockets
Gold = 275 crowns + 1 Ultra Clockwork Harvester
Silver = 250 crowns + 1 Longer Medallion Extractor Potion
Bronze = 225 crowns + 1 MegaLooter

Please everyone, another sacrifice to the Otters for such lavish tidings.

*Please sign up for this event by posting a comment here that you will be attending. You can sign your friends up as well if they have given their permission. You don't have to be 100% certain that you're attending, the sign up comments are for the sole purpose so that we can estimate how many people will be showing up, but we have an unlimited amount of free space so feel free to pop by even if you didn't sign up
*In between each challenge we will be traveling to the next location as a group, in this case it's extremely important that you pay attention to the chat otherwise you may be left behind.
*Lower levels will be escorted to zones beyond their level but if you're planning on showing up PLEASE attempt to get the teleport pads for the zones!!
1: No attempts at cheating or distracting opponents (except in Event 3)
2: Follow directions as supplied and be courteous to hosts and attendants
3: The most important rule of them all is to have fun! This event is just for the community to come together and try out something interesting and entertaining, so please show good sportsmanship
This is going to be a series of tasks each with different variables to make them interesting and challenging. Depending on what place you and your team get in the challenge, you will receive a certain amount of points. At the end of the event, the player with the most points is the victor, and second place is who has the second most points and so on. All instructions will be repeated before each event
This event includes the following:
Gathering, Combat, Trivia
Zone: Sugarsweet Summit
Requirements: At least 1 gathering skill at 15 or higher
Rules: All items gathered must be gathered directly from the zone at the time of the event, and not acquired through a pre-owned stock
Description: Players assemble in Summit and will be formed into teams of equal strength. Each team is tasked with gathering a certain amount of materials from the zone. Upon gathering said materials, they are to bring them to Armageddon. The team is then assigned to defeat one of the Event Bosses by themselves. This will take teamwork and skill and will be no easy task. (It is possible though, I’ve tested it). However, there is a catch! The team who brings all of the gathered items first, will also be assigned to the hardest boss! This means, your team must choose wisely which is more important, losing time gathering in order to have another team face the tough boss, or finish the gathering process first and then challenge the hardest enemy. If an entire team is ‘Wiped Out’ at a boss, they can whisper Armageddon for assistance. They will be asked another trivia question, and if answered correctly, they will receive an additional hero to help them fight.
Estimated Time: Estimated time for this event is 25 minutes
Awards: (Awards will be given to all members of the team)
1st - Platinum Medal – 10 points
2nd – Gold Medal – 8 points
3rd – Silver Medal – 7 points
4th – Bronze Medal – 6 points
5th – Copper Medal – 5 points
This event includes the following:
Riddles, Scavenger Hunt, Crafting, Gathering, Hide & Seek, Mountain Climbing
Zone: Multiple Zones, meeting point is Ardent Castle
Requirements: Crafting/Gathering skills at a minimum of 5
Rules: All items crafted must be crafted during the event, with materials gathered during the event. If you have materials in your bags and vault, please do not use these!
Description: Participants will be grouped into equal teams (different from the previous event). Once teams are chosen, all the groups will receive a mail with riddles and instructions. They must solve these riddles, and retrieve or create the items indicated. There will be at most, 5 different things for each group to obtain. Once an item is retrieved, the group must hand them in to an event helper. This helper will then give that group a 'hint' which they must use to find me (on one of my alts). I will be hidden in a zone, and each time a group turns in an item, they will get a hint towards figuring out which zone that is. A group does not have to turn in all 5 items, if they have figured out which zone the hints refer to, then they can proceed there. Once the group has arrived at the zone, they must find my character, who is hidden somewhere in the zone. In order to win the event, one of the members of the group must "tag" me, either by casting a spell on me (such as water gloves) or targeting me and performing an emote. I will be running around though, so catching me won't be easy!
Estimated Time: 35 minutes
Awards: (Awards will be given to all members of the team)
1st - Platinum Medal – 10 points
2nd – Gold Medal – 8 points
3rd – Silver Medal – 7 points
4th – Bronze Medal – 6 points
5th – Copper Medal – 5 points
Event 3 - Capture the Flag
This event includes the following:
Racing, Looting, Combat, Crying, Teamwork
Zone: Maiden
Requirements: Not really a requirement, bug suggested combat level is 23 and up
Rules: All items that need to be looted during the event must be looted during the event, and not retrieved from bags or vaults
Description: I hope this event will cause the most tears! That's what I'm going for here if you didn't know already
This event starts in Maiden, where players will be split into teams of equal numbers. Each time will be assigned a base on the map which they must bring the flag to. The flag, in this case will be a player (my alt). In the beginning, to gain control of the flag, I will announce a list of monsters parts, first team to collect and bring the monster parts to me will get the flag. The other teams should then abandon the parts, and focus on stealing the flag.
How does the flag work?: I will be using auto-follow, meaning I will target a player from the team, and auto-follow them (I have no personal command of my own movements). If my character becomes stuck, stops moving, or dies, it's a free-for-all for the flag. The first player to point (or do an emote to me) will then get access to the flag (I start auto-following them). My priest is level 22, and will not be wearing any gear either so that means the rest of that player's team will need to clear the path and kill the monsters before the monsters kill me.
How does one steal the flag?: If you want to steal the flag for your team, you must try to distract the flag bearer. Try opening a trade window while they're trying to run, or bringing a huge amount of monsters to the flag in an attempt to kill him. Be prepared to do the emote though and steal him for the team! The first person to get the flag to their teams base wins. (We might do it multiple times depending on time)
Estimated Time: 30 minutes
Awards: (Awards will be given to all members of the team)
1st - Platinum Medal – 10 points
2nd – Gold Medal – 8 points
3rd – Silver Medal – 7 points
4th – Bronze Medal – 6 points
5th – Copper Medal – 5 points
This event includes the following:
Racing, dying, nudity
Zone: Blackfury Gorge
Requirements: None
Rules: No gear of any kind is allowed, no speed potions or effects are allowed
Description: No teams! This is a simple racing type event, meant to be a tie-breaker. I'm bringing back the classic BFG map from the Racing Series event. Instead this time, players must run backwards through black fury gorge, without gear, and with a scornyx seed on. At the beginning, I'll be doing a 'wheel of fortune' sort of thing, and 3 lucky participants will get a fleetinda seed as well to boost their chances. Be careful though, being in the lead is not always a good thing.
Estimated Time: 10 minutes
Awards:
Depending on the number of people, the awards will start at X points for first place, and go down by one point until last place. X being the number of people racing.
This looks fun and I would love to have my friends here join me!
