Hello all,
I am also on the Chinese forums for Revelation Online, and have been gathering information from some of the popular guides and threads that are located on those forums... Recently I got into a discussion with an elite forum member, and Chinese Revelation Online player, named 玄机丶or "Mystery". Mystery (玄机丶) very kindly offered his help on providing information for Player VS Player content based off of the Chinese client. I did not ask too many questions with too much depth, because I didn't want to be bothersome to this kind player. But, I do think I went over a few of the more popular questions here in the western community.
Thank you for taking the time to participate in this interview, it will help answer many western players' questions regarding Player VS Player content.
Mystery (玄机丶)
Yes, It's my pleasure to help you guys learn how to play this game. I think we can supply you enough information to help you enjoy this game.

What is considered to be the best class for PvP?
Mystery (玄机丶)
First, It's hard to say which class is the best when experiencing the PvP activities. If you can invest some money into the game, I believe the Blademaster, Swordmage and the Vanguard may be the right class choice for PvP at this time.
Grayson
What is considered to be the worst class for PvP?
Mystery (玄机丶)
There is no doubt that Spiritshaper is the worst PvP class. But, honestly Spiritshaper is very necessary all the time for team play.
Grayson
Is gear very important for PvP content, if so how?
Mystery (玄机丶)
In this game, I can answer your question easily with a “YES”. Because the two most important aspects of PvP that I think a player can have, isa player's control skill and burst damage. PvP can be fair if both players are on equal grounds- for example, if both players were level 79, each had 90 skill practice points , and have the same gear. But the truth is, a player's gear makes it much easier and less complex for themto win, almost so that they can kill other players just by using two skills, such as using Swordmage's Burst Sword skill. Even if you can use your skill to make a player unable to stand up, he can use the skill to escape the uncontrolled status, and then he may just kill you in one second, so PVP may not be fun in that type of situation. So, it is necessary to get basic gear to prepare for PVP. Fortunately, It's not hard or expensive to get PvP equipment. If you don't aim to be the top player in your server and class , then it will be easy and fun if you just wanted to PvP with the players who have the same combat capacity as you.
Grayson
Can small guilds enjoy PvP or GvG?
Mystery (玄机丶)
Yes, of course. Because Revelation's servers can't hold too many people in the same map at once, sometimes it's possible that PVP between 300v300 players can cause a huge delay. The PVP between smaller guilds will be more smooth and fun. If your guild didn't participate in the Territory War, you can just find another small guild to kill each other and participate with, and the guild to get 100 kills earns the reward.
Grayson
Is PvP rewarding?
Mystery (玄机丶)
Yes, PvP is rewarding. Almost all of the PVP activities give you rewards that you can improve your character with.
Grayson
Is open world PvP/PK worth it?
Mystery (玄机丶)
I don't think so. Because there are guards in the villages and capitals who are ready to attack red named players who killed (PKed) innocent players. You get no rewards for killing an innocent player, unless you need to fight someone for some activities to gain more resources and territory.
That concludes this small interview with Mystery (玄机). He did not have to take time out of his day to answer these questions, but he was very happy to help answer some of the PvP questions western players have. I'm sorry if I didn't ask many questions with much depth, but I didn't want to be bothersome to the interviewee. I hope this helped answer some of your questions.
