Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
Having just finished reading all three books in the Miss Peregrine's series, I'm a little disappointed over the fact that most of the scenes depicted in the Miss Peregrine's trailers did NOT happen in the novels, or at the very least not in the fashion depicted. It makes me suspicious at how true to the novels the film will actually be.
That said, sometimes you just have to accept things as they are, and I have to admit this looks like an interesting movie. Honesty compels me to admit that there are areas in which the book series could have been improved upon, especially the second of the three novel series which tended to drag a bit.
I'm more inclined at this point to want to see this film as opposed to giving it a pass. The Tim Burton name alone is always a compelling reason to watch a movie. It may not be a blockbuster, but if Burton has a hand in it, it will at the least be memorable, interesting, and probably.... a little "Peculiar".

There’s a new world coming. Watch the new trailer for Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, in theaters September 2016. #StayPeculiar
From visionary director Tim Burton, and based upon the best-selling novel, comes an unforgettable motion picture experience. When Jake discovers clues to a mystery that spans alternate realities and times, he uncovers a secret refuge known as Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As he learns about the residents and their unusual abilities, Jake realizes that safety is an illusion, and danger lurks in the form of powerful, hidden enemies. Jake must figure out who is real, who can be trusted, and who he really is.
In Theaters - September 30, 2016
Cast: Eva Green, Asa Butterfield, Ella Purnell, Allison Janney, Terence Stamp, Rupert Everett, with Judi Dench and Samuel L. Jackson
Source: 20th Century Fox
Movie aside, I rather enjoyed the book series by Ransom Riggs.
I will try to get a review up for it before the movie comes out, time allowing. Until then, if you have read the series, leave a comment below. Let us know what you thought of it, and whether or not you plan to watch when it comes to the big screen.
