Colt:
I stood at the base of the Barrier, several other mages staring up at it alongside me. I hadn't a clue what to do, especially with no magic. The buzzing had stopped. It seemed like the barrier itself was alive, and it had drawn in its power. The cracking had stopped as well. Now the Barrier had lost its luminescent blue color, turning to gold and a furious crimson at the base. But it seemed as if whatever it was doing had slowed immensely. Nothing new had happened since the buzz of power subsided. I felt as if we were bracing for impact, but I hadn't a clue why. I concentrated hard on the thought of Selina, managing to send her a rough mental image of the barrier. Whether it worked or not, I didn't know. My ability to mindspeak with anyone in the Syndicate was vastly decimated without magic and the space between us. I'd just have to wait.
Zebreneva:
I flew strategically in the clouds, so the Syndicate would still be able to see me semi-clearly but the Colt-Thing would be hidden. It was weightless, made of nothing. I'd be glad when this journey of his was over.
Odette:
Whatever had been watching me was back. I had seen the hooded figure twice on this journey already, and each time I felt the eyes underneath the hood boring into me. I'd quickly looked away, shielding off part of my mind from Saphira. If the other dragons found out about this, Selina would eventually find out as well, and she had enough to deal with at the moment.
Katerina:
She was on the lookout for me know. How could I have been so careless! She'd seen me twice. Once as her silly dragon had been walking, and another when she had been in the midst of taking flight. It was the presence of the dragon that hindered me. But, she had to hunt sooner or later. The minute Odette was alone, I'd have to act quickly.

Aidan
We had just run into this stranger who was apparently going the same way we were. I wanted to introduce myself, but I decided I could once we got there.
((P.S. I was thinking of getting a dragon pet for my main character.))

Zia:
"Good, take a seat." She ordered everyone as she stood up. A handheld weaved itself out of the reed-ceiling and Zia took hold of it. "Onward!" She called as the boat lurched forward and rose above the ground.
The group had made it into Sunstone and the heat was almost immediate. Zia wasn't bothered by it, as she was naturally drawn towards this climate. Spencer had taken off his coat. Zia thought she'd seen a glimmer of yellow in the waning treeline, but she deemed it a trick of the heat. "I'mun." Spoke Zia, her words echoing in an unnatural way. From outside their caravan, you'd see nothing. "I've created a mirage so that none may see us. I've the feeling we have been watched." She sighed and sat once more.

I looked up at the stranger joining us in the boat, nodding respectfully then returning my gaze to the scenery. I had been lost in my thoughts until a wall of heat hit me. I unhooked my cloak and folded it my lap, and tossed my hair behind my shoulders. "Well, I wasn't quite ready for that..." I silently wondered how long until I'd be able to change into something more suited to this climate.

Odette:
After flying a little further, Zia halted us. I saw a mountain full of drakes that I assumed was the Mesa. Everyone stopped and waited for directions.

Zia:
The boat stopped and lowered itself closer to the ground. "Stay here." Zia told those who were in the boat, then stepped off onto the ground and cut off the concealing spell.
Summing all of her strength and power, she felt the blood in her veins become hotter, and began to sing a melodic spell. The wind picked up immensely, and the sand flew through the air, stinging Zia's skin, and making it feel raw to the touch. Within minutes it was impossible to see inches in front of you because of the sandstorm that had been summoned. The sun had seemed to leave the earth, and a crimson light came from nowhere in particular. Screams, yelps, and the rabid growls and barks of animals could be heard just away from the caravan. With the last verse of her spell, the sandstorm began to subside at what seemed like molasses compared to how fast it picked up. Through the dusty light you could see a pyramid crowning the Mesa.
From all the energy it took to summon up the pyramid, and with how much she was weakened, Zia Rashid collapsed to the ground.
Spencer:
Spencer jumped out of the magical reed boat, and picking up the unconscious Zia, went back into the boat. It moved forward towards Zia's pyramid without command. "You guys have got to see the library this place has." He smiled at the rest of the passengers in the group.
When they landed, Kenna met them and levitated Zia to the door.
Kenna:
Being one of the only two with magic, it was up to Kenna to open the door. She thought for a moment how to go about it. Blowing the pyramid into oblivion certainly wouldn't do, nor would breaking through the door. So, having found the best choice in her head, Kenna put her hand up to the giant door composed of magic-infused stone and gold. The paint which spiraled around her arms began to pulse a bright blue. "Oscailt gan cúis dochar do na pirimide." said she, and to the magic that flows through these words, the door responded slowly by opening, revealing a lofty, luxurious room.

Axle
Axle sat there in awe on Zia's boat. For one he was surprised there was even magic at all since the Disruption, and two A PYRAMID JUST APPEARED OUT OF NOWHERE! he thought to himself. Axle lifted himself out of the van, clumsily slipping and falling to the ground as he tripped on his sneaker's shoelace. He embarrassingly dusted off the sand from his clothing, tied his shoelace, and got up following Kenna into the pyramid. Axle was worried for Zia though. She had collapsed to the ground from all the power she was putting into materializing the pyramid, but Spencer walked off with her before he could help her up.

Kalen
Praeses landed next to Zia's boat. Kalen had removed his hoodie on the way down to the arid ground, the thin air above was a much cooler temperature. So Kalen straightened out his white under-shirt and tied the sleeves to his hoodie around his waist.
"It has been a lomg time since I came to this place, had forgotten how good the heated air feels."
Well at least you're enjoying yourself, the rest of us humans don't care for it...
After dismouting, Kalen walked up to the rest of the group, discovering the unconscious Zia. It was disappointing, since he had something to ask her about...

...Can't talk... a pyramid just rose... by magic... I... I don't know what to say...
Carly
I freaked out. I literally screamed when the pyramid just came up.
Zack
In reality, when the pyramid appeared, I was unfazed. But in my head, some crazy stuff was going on, trying to process this. I mean, HOW?!

"Snowfire can fly us to the base," Selina said with a warm smile. "But I doubt she would be able to navigate that storm with out magic."
The pair agreed to meet back at the school after donning the appropriate attire for their trip. Selina wore a black form-fitting jumpsuit that allowed for great mobility and dexterity. Her hair was pulled back, and, even braided, it reached her waist. To top it off she draped a white fur lined shawl under her right shoulder and pinned it on her left with a dragon broach. After grabbing a gnarled walking stick she met up with Ragu. They mounted up and flew to the base of the mountain.
Don had fervent nightmares that night, all of them circling Marie's demise. The Dragon Pendant grew warm upon his chest.

Kenna hovered Zia over to a couch and set her down. She set her two fingers on Zia's brow, "Dúisigh." Zia stirred. "Quite a good job you've done Zia. You didn't burn yourself out or trap us into the Duat altogether." Kenna said to Zia softly. The General sat up, rubbing her head, "Thank you, Kenna, for opening the door and waking me up. I hate being unconscious." Zia said as she stood.
"For those who have not been here before, this is the main atrium. That," said she, pointing at the two very large wooden doors at the back of the room, "is the library. Don't get lost, please. There are little kitchen stations about the library. The dining hall is over there," she now gestured to an archway to the right of the room just as large as the doors to the library. "And that is the corridoor to your rooms. The gardens are on an upper level, and do not wander into the catacombs that are under us: you may find things that aren't meant to be found by the likes of yourselves."

I blinked slowly, puzzled at what had just appeared in front of me. I had the urge to ask more questions about what was occurring, but I decided that it was best to keep quiet, since I had only just met everyone. I felt a burst of heat in front of me, which made me to take off the light sweater I was wearing. I proceeded to the pyramid, gazing around at all of the intricate detailing inside the main atrium. Since I was practically a stranger to the group, I wasn't exactly sure who to follow or where I should go. On a whim, I decided to travel to the upper level of the pyramid to relax in the gardens. I found a small lake near some blooming flowers, and threw my sweater on the grass. I slowly laid down and daydreamed while a soft breeze blew through my hair.

Carly
As we entered the pyramid, I saw a girl I had never seen before. She seemed to just be looking up near the lake. I went over to her with a smile. "Hello," I said cheerfully. "My name is Carly. It's nice to meet you."

I noticed a girl had popped up near me. "Hi Carly. I'm Jennella, nice to meet you as well." I smiled.

Axle
Axle lagged behind as everyone continued touring the studious pyramid. Once everyone had left, Axle made a sharp turn into the vacant library. Reading was sort of Axle's guilty pleasure. For some reason, he thought if anyone knew how much he was into literacy, it would deteriorate his "status." He approached one of the many shelves inside the library and scanned through book after book. Once Axle found a dusty 6-inch thick book he liked, he sat down on one of the cushiony chairs in the library and began to read, closing his book every now and then if he thought her heard something.
