Zio and Selina felt her presence in the moments before the Voodoo Queen of Blackspore threw open the doors of the ballroom. In a shared fervrish glance they cast their consciousnesses across the expanse of polished floor just in time to her arrival, not only to shieldher from the minds of the Elves, but to get answers as well.
Zio contended with the Elves, swiftly placating them once he made his identity known to them. But before Selina could utter a word to Marie over the mental channel, Prince Kaivos was at her side. Selina took a step towards them, but stopped short when the Prince simply extended his arm to Marie. The two held each other's gaze for a moment before she took his arm, letting him lead her through the dense menagerie of Elf nobility, all of whom promptly made way. Selina stood dumb founded as Marie was escorted directly to her by the Prince of Abrassia.
"I believe you know this dazzling... creature," Kaivos asked, his chin tilted and a smile perking on his lips.
Selina managed a nod, "We do indeed, I-"
"She has a fire in her eyes," he interrupted, taking Marie's hand gently from his arm, keeping his calculating eyes keenly on Marie. "A frigid blue flame. I'll take my leave, Oracle. Lord Sunstrider."
Prince Kaivos turned, singled some unseen conductor, and the music resumed. Zio excused himself, giving Marie a curt nod. Selina stood there, staring at the vision that was Marie Laveau. "Colt, go with your grandfather," she said. "He could use the assistance of you and the Princess when he makes his apologies to our gracious hosts." She made a point to look Marie directly in the eyes the entire time she spoke. But Marie, cool as ever, retaliated with a simple smile. "Marie, I think we should speak in private."
"Of course you do," came Marie's sharp reply. She was still wearing that infuriatingly beautiful smile.
Selina led her over to an antechamber at the back of the ballroom, immediately igniting the fire place with a thread of flame. She waited for Marie to walk in before closing the door, but it was thrust back open by a gale of wind that nearly knocked Selina over. She furiously looked to see who had dared to intrude in such a manner, but rolled her eyes when she saw Jenora, Chiyoko, Haaron and Iskander marching towards her. "What-"
"Close your mouth and shut that damned door," Jenora barked, glaring incriminatingly at Marie. Iskander, though solemn, placed a warm hand on Selina's elbow and shut the door behind him.
"A great deal to discuss," he said, his voice still thick with that peculiar accent. Though Selina met him only briefly in Sunstone Valley, she appreciated his warm and soothing aura. She collected herself and turned her attention to Marie, who still held the bitter stare of Jenora.
"Jenora calm yourself," Selina said exasperated. The last thing she needed was Marie Laveau and Jenora Caiandel turning the palace into a passive aggressive swamp. Selina search for something to say to Marie, to demand answers to all of her questions, but all she could manage was, "How?"

Marie ignored the four new faces and looked Selina straight in the eyes and without breaking her deceivingly warm smile, said to the Oracle, "Seems like you got yourself enough business of your own to worry 'bout. If you don't mind, I got me a ball to attend." She strutted to the door and walked back out to the party.

Annaliese linked her arm in mine as we followed Zio toward the doors that Laranthir led the other princes out of. At the end of the corridor, Zio knocked on a door.
"Enter."
We walked into the study, which was lavishly furnished with three mahogany desks at one end of the room.
"Now who, may I ask, just strutted through our front doors and disrupted the ball?" Laranthir asked, not unkindly.
"Your Majesties," Zio began, "my sincerest apologies. Marie Laveau, who just announced herself, was in the Syndicate before her death. I know no more than you on how she has returned to us. However, I don't believe she's dangerous."
"It's true, father," Annaliese spoke up, "I sensed no malevolence in her when she arrived. An Otherness, yes, but she means us no harm."
"Relax, my darling. I am not angry," he said, turning to Zio, "this is not cause for alarm, as far as I'm concerned. This is time for celebration. By many blessings, your friend has been returned to you. Go and be with her," he finished. Auberon seemed in agreement, and Kaivos raised a dark eyebrow at his brothers that suggested this discussion would continue once we left.

Zio instantly regretted walking into the antechamber.
Jenora and Haaron were arguing in each other's faces, Chiyoko and Iskander occasionally agreeing or disagreeing with either side. Selina was across the room with her hands between her head...
"Pardon," Zio practically screamed, slamming the door behind him. The ball had come back in full force, but he did not want what ever was about to happen in this room to cause yet another interruption. "Were is Marie? Are you all right, Selina?"
Selina looked up at Zio as he settled beside her, fixing a stray curl atop her head. He saw strain in her eyes, tears threatening to break their dam. He gripped her arm and turned his gaze to the Seers, who had gone silent. "Well?"
"The witch left," Jenora said bitterly. "She thinks so highly of herself, she couldn't be bothered to-"
"She felt cornered, Jenora," Haaron seethed. "Are you telling me that if Selina or anyone of us did the same to you, you wouldn't act the same? I'd hazard you'd turn Chiyoko into a swordfish just so that you can run me through." Jenora and Haaron went back and forth again, tension in the air rising as their tempers did. Selina's hands were clasped firmly around her head, her face pained.
"Enough." Zio's voice was sharp, crisp with energy that sent a voltage of power through the air. Maybe it was the state Selina was in, or maybe it was the fact he hadn't had cause to use real magic in months, but whatever the reason, he was on the verge of extinguishing the next person who spoke. "It doesn't take an Oracle to see how childish you are being! Can you not see what your arguing is doing to Selina? Why does Marie even concern you four anyways?"
They all jumped when Selina's voice broke the silence. "We didn't, we didn't sense her return. We didn't see it. Such an act of magic would have been felt at the four corners of the world, and yet we were oblivious."
Zio stiffened. He had shared the same insecurity in his own abilities, but what did it mean when the Oracle and the Four Seers' abilities diminished? He looked around the room and beyond the anger in Jenora's face, he saw the pleading look in her eyes, asking for answers. Zio didn't have any for them.
"Our ability to use foresight has diminished," Iskander said solemnly. "The question that was being debated when you walked in, Zio, is whether or not we should inform the Princes."
Jenora's response was immediate, "Absolutely not! That tart Daea has been looking for an excuse to get rid of us for centuries! If we announced our weakness now she would drive us out and demolish my beautiful temple."
Haaron rolled his eyes. "Ayani forbid that you should go more than a few hours without the adoration of a people you don't even like."
"Good," she said, lifting her chin, "someone gets it."
Just as the tension started to fill the air again, Selina stood to her feet and extinguished the fire with a wave of her hand. "We aren't going to tell the Princes anything, at least not yet. If we cannot see into the paths of time anymore, then chances are that their own magic has been dampened as well. The six of us will investigate this during our time here, and will only reveal what we know once we have found an answer, or the situation becomes to dire to conceal our secret any longer."
Haaron made to plead his case further, but Selina held up a hand and dismissed the Seers back to the ball. She was shaken, still a little unnerved by the night's revelations, but in the faint moonlight that whispered in through the window, Selina was radiant. Zio had never seen her command such authority, even in their disputes with the Queen. It was magnetic, wild.
In the darkness of the room, with only the moonlight as a witness, Zio embraced Selina in one swift movement. He held her face, his lips firmly on hers, and opened up his consciousness to envelope her fully. Finally, they were one.

The dragon bond was the most intimate connection two beings could share. A constant stream of consciousnesses, one's most inner thoughts... but this kiss felt ten times as powerful to Selina. When Zio opened up his consciousness to her, something deep inside of her soul, rather than her mind, called out. Somewhere within a primal force was set loose, putting forth the faintest of auras around the two beings. It was a response to the fulfillment of part of their shared fate, a testament to the power of their union. Selina was keenly aware of every life in the city, of every fluctuation of starlight, the shortness of Zio's breath. Before she really had a chance to process it, and comprehend how she was feeling, Raevena's voice entered Selina's mind. "The Princes are preparing to consecrate the celebration. Where are you?"Zio had pulled away, he ran a pale hand through his snow-white hair, sighing a shaky breath. " Coming," Selina responded, shutting the Magus out. Selina, bright red, through the door open, and with a brilliant smile, looped her arm through Zio's and returned with him to the ball. Their auras still clung to their skin.

Annaliese and I had just finished another dance when I spotted Zio and Selina enter the ball once again. They looked slightly flushed, and their faces practically glowed. I briefly met his gaze and narrowed my own with a slight smile.
"Is everything well?" Annaliese asked.
"Yes, of course," I said, "just pondering. What did you mean earlier when you told your father that you sensed no malevolence in Marie?"
"Oh, that. I have certain, subtle abilities of telling whether someone is friend or foe. I sense their intentions, feel the weight of their words. It's difficult to explain, really."
"It sounds like a useful ability to have. I've always been able to tell when I'm being lied to, but I was never entirely sure if it was magic or natural intuition," I replied.
"Perhaps it's a bit of both."
"Perhaps," I said with a smile.

The consecration ceremony of was one of the most sacred and arcane rituals in the elves' culture. Each year, on the night of the winter solstice, a piece of fruit from the Tree of Wisdom is harvested, planted, and consecrated in the Kenri Forest. The ceremony marks the end of another year, the growth of the sacred Kenri, and the unity of the Elven people. It was the first time in history that outsiders participated in the ceremony. ((Lets just pretend that the ceremony happened. A lot of time has passed IRL, so for continuity's sake, I'm going to progress just a little bit.))
It has been about two weeks since the ball, Marie's return, and the consecration of the sacred fruit in the Kenri Forest. Selina has had countless meetings will the princes, their advisers, even the general public. Despite all that went wrong in their first few days in Alerea, the popular opinion was in Selina's favor. Only a few Elders and Daea now opposed the Syndicate's agenda. Selina invited several members of the Syndicate to depart back to Sacred Grove, not only to represent her interests back in their own capitol of Sanctuary, but also to show the elves that she was considerate to their privacy. Only the vitally necessary were required to stay in Silver Hills. ((Saying this so that those who will not be returning to the RP will have a way out)) Today, however, was a different kind of meeting. Not much discussion had been had on the death of the she-elf who died at the hands of the strange spector that attacked the Syndicate on their way to Aleria. The Princes, the Seers, the Magi, Zio, Selina, Don, and Arya were scheduled to meet at mid day in the Magisterium to debrief and review the events. Selina is currently en route with Raevena, the others having already gathered....

Arya:
I wasn’t fond of what was to come. I hadn’t spoken about Odaria since the night she was murdered, and I hadn’t planned to until I’d received the summons to this meeting. The mission to safely retrieve and escort the Syndicate had been my responsibility, and I’d failed.
Staring out the window, I felt Fírnen attempting to bring me peace of mind. I wasn’t used to this feeling of horrible vulnerability and weakness. I turned to face those who were gathered, waiting with what I hoped looked like a calm expression on my face.
Colt:
“Come in,” I said at the soft rap on my chamber door.
“So formal, Viscount,” Annaliese teased as she closed the door behind her.
“My apologies, Princess,” I smiled, rolling the piece of parchment and walking it over to the white messenger falcon waiting on the balcony.
“What are you doing?” She asked.
“Matters of state. Queen Valerian has been in constant communication with me over a dispute between some of my mages.”
“What is the queen like?” She asked, sitting down across from me.
“Challenging.” I sat back, pinching the bridge of my nose. She stood and we walked to the balcony. We had grown very close these last weeks, and I treasured her company more than she knew. I felt her fingers entertwine with my own.
“You’re thinking about the meeting, aren’t you?”
“You know me well. I’m anxious to hear what decision they come to, as we have no idea what it was that attacked us that night. I made my grandfather swear to to tell me as soon as possible, but I’ve never been good at waiting.”
Odette:
I hummed to myself as I sat at the mahogany and mother-of-pearl vanity. I was getting used to the extravagance of Elven Court, but something had been off ever since we left the outpost at Keinri. I could feel it.
Just then, I looked down in my lap to see a spot of red had appeared on the cloth of my gown. Another drop, and another. I looked up into the mirror to see that my nose was bleeding.
Standing, I made my way hurriedly to the lavatory to staunch the bleeding. This couldn’t be happening again.

Raevena And Selina had developed a mutual respect for each other since the Oracle's arrival in Aleria. Raevena seemed to be the only magus capable of mustering any effective change in the capitol, something Selina admired. The Magus of Abrassia was also the only female in their trio, and Selina knew all about being the only woman in a room full of powerful men. The pair arrived at the Magisterium just as the meeting was to begin. The hearing chamber was dark and completely devoid of color and detail. In fact, it was as if they all stood in a black void. The floor was no floor at all, merely an invisible plane in the blackness. However, Selina suspected some spell or another created an unseen source of light, as she could see everyone in full detail. As she took her place beside Zio the chamber sealed shut. "You all have my gratitude for coming today," Chugzy said, stepping to the center of the void. "A great disturbance has shattered the peace that our people have known for generations. I suspect that it is no coincidence that the attack on Odaria took place as she endeavored to escort our esteemed guests to the capitol... "We are gathered here now to discern what exactly took place on that fateful night. My Princes, I now invite the Seers to take the floor." Selina saw Laranthir gave a short nod, eyes intensely focused on on the Arch Magus. Chugzy stepped away, and Haaron, Chiyoko, Iskander, and Jenora stepped to the center. Haaron seemed to be the elected voice of the seers in this instance, for as he spoke to the congregation, the three others wove a spell behind him. Suddenly, the void-room vanished, revealing the encampment of the Syndicate on the night of Odaria's murder. Haaron was already speaking when Selina's awe subsided."As your Majesties know, we four have the gift of foresight. This gift called to us some time ago, pulling us out of a long period of seclusion." He paused here, taking a moment to pace around the room before turning back to the princes. "While we have had many interactions with your people, the citizens of Sacred Grove have practically forgotten us. The call we received was clear: Bring the Elves back into the fold. By guiding Lady Selina and the Syndicate to Silver Hills, we hoped that would have been the extent of our duty. However, it is now clear that Silver Hills needs not only my fellow Seers and I, but the Syndicate as well." Haaron punctuated his statement by adding his own power to the spell on the room, which seemed to "play" the action. They all watched as the creature tore through the camp, despite powerful retaliation, and decimated Odaria to little more than a husk. Selina turned away from the horrid scene just as the vision showed her slice through the creature with the flames from Snowfire's maw. A murmur went up in the room. The vision was frozen on the image of Selina's blade half buried in the creature's side. Laranthir was on the edge of his chair, eyes wide, and even Auberon seemed to have an air of alarm, but it was Kaivos that drew Selina's attention. He was still lounged back, seemingly unbothered, but his eyes were trained intently on Selina. She suspected they had been the entire time she had been in the room, and suddenly she felt bare before his gaze. Her discomfort must of shown, for Zio pulled her closer to him and cleared the vision from the room with a wave of his hand. "If you recall, my princes," Chugzy's began again, stepping back into the center of the voided chamber, "I suspected dark and ravenous creatures were responsible for the disappearances on the border of Namdelon and Albion. Against the counsel of the other Magi and against your orders I sent an investigative force to the area, and their disappearance is what led to my banishment." "You sent them to the Plains of Misery," Iurnan howled. "Some of our most talented Magisters and the only other Shur'tugal in the entirety of Silver Hills lost their lives to the toxicity of that cursed scar!" "Their lives are on my hands," Chugzy responded coolly, "But they didn't die to the sickness. I'd wager my life that it was more of these creatures that destroyed Diatrus and his company!" An argument broke out between the two magi. Selina struggled to take all of this information in. Before she had time to process any of it Laranthir brought his hands together in an earthshaking clap that silenced the room. "Lord Iurnan, you will not interrupt the Floor again. Arch Magus, what evidence to you have to support your claim?" "None, Prince Laranthir," he responded, his hands pleading. "But never the less, we know now that the creatures I suspected to exist do. Odaria lost her life to one of them, our only other Shur'tugal, Arya, was wounded greatly in the conflict. I am begging your Majesties' blessing to investigate this further. A darkness is settling in Silver Hills, and we daren't let it grow." "Arch Magus," Kaivos asked, his voice crackling on the air, "what exactly do you propose? An expeditionary ventured to the Plains of Misery, as you instructed them, and have never been seen again. And if I saw that vision correctly, the creatures are not only impervious to most forms of magic but also drain it until their victim is a husk. All of this considered, what exactly do you suggest?" Chugzy looked small before the three princes. He was silent, unable to argue with anything Kaivos said. For someone who didn't seem to be paying attention, the prince knew quite a bit. "Study," Don said, braking the silence. Everyone turned to look at him. He had been silent during the preceding, his dark robes melding into the void of the room. Selina watched him carefully as he walked to the center of the room. "Study the creatures. Your Majesties, I'm a shadowy addition to the Syndicate. While they all battle the darkness with the light, I subvert the its agents with their own power. It is for their reason that while they act conventionally after an attack, I don't." Somehow, Don had willed the room back to the vision of the attack. The vision played out to the sunrise, detailing the extra defenses and wards the elves and Syndicate placed on the camp. But it also showed Don set Odaria's spirit free, and his gathering of the putrescent residue of the shadow creature. Selina looked up at Zio with unease. She remembered this, and she remembered what Don had said to her. "Why do I need it?" "Why don't you? You know next to nothing about these creatures, and it seems like the Elves are just as ignorant. Has being away from Sanctuary dulled your sense of politic? I mean, really Selina, I expect more." She cursed herself mentally for not taking him more seriously, and for his sharp and calculated tongue. This was probably his goal all along. Don pulled the container of the residue from his robes, holding it aloft with magic. "This is what remains of that creature. You should know, that this creature was a potently dark spirit, which happens to be my specialty. As I am aware, not many in the Magisterium have much experience using spirit magic... which confounds me since you practically worship them, but no matter. Give me a regiment of Magisters and a place to work and I swear to Ayani I will devise a way to control this threat." Selina's mouth gaped. She had known Donnovan Ravenwood to be ambitious, but this... and the callous way he spoke to the Princes... what game was he playing? Selina felt her outrage mirrored in Zio, and the pair of them were ready to scold him when Kaivos spoke. "An interesting development, and an equally interesting proposition. Though, I don't know what a human wizard would be able to accomplish that any elf wouldn't-" "I am not just a human wizard. I am Donnovan Ravenwood, third of my name, natural born heir of the ancient union between Celeste Sunstrider and Donnovan Ravenwood, first of their names, and the power of the Sunstrider Bloodline flows through me. Where my cousins Zio and Coltari have all the potency the light can offer, I have the solace and wisdom of the shadows. There is no truer Spiritweaver than I, and I assure you that not even you three princes could accomplish what I can with the spirits." "Donnovan!" Selina screamed, horror registering on her face. Zio went very still, like a statue, as if he was calculating every possibility. The Seers and Magi stood away from Don, as if clearing a blast radius. Jenora, who's bitter attitude was well known to everyone there, looked absolutely thrilled. Kaivos just smilled. "Well," he said, "at least someone in this room has the guts to speak their mind. To be frank with you, O'Mighty Donnovan, I don't care what decision this conclave comes to. The lands of my brothers are most at risk of the creatures' threat, and my borders are heavily defended by my dominion of fire, which we now know is effective against them. I'll leave this to Laranthir and Auberon to decide." Kaivos stood, flashed Selina one last glace, and erupted into a pillar of vibrant gold flames, vanishing. Laranthir stood, looking more annoyed with his brother than insulted by Don. "Though callous and disrespectful, Donnovan's... editorial of his lineage, if confirmed by Lady Selina and Lord Zio, would be enough to convince me to allow his proposal. Lady Raevena, you will supervise his investigation and see to it he has all the resources that he needs. Seers, Oracle, Lady Arya, have you anything to add before we adjurn?"

Arya:
”The only thing I would add to this is that should you undertake this mission, Sir Ravenwood, I implore you to exercise the utmost caution. I have felt the effects of this creature first hand. It is nothing to be trifled with, even for one of your...pedigree.” I finished, smirking in his direction.
Colt:
I paced slowly up and down the common room between our chambers. I hated not knowing anything.
”Colt. Please try and gain some composure. I’m sure Lord Zio will summon you as soon as they return to Court, but the summit is most likely still in progress or just now adjourned,” Annaliese said.
”I know, you’re right. I haven’t felt this helpless since the night I was Claimed,” I replied.
”Sit with me and tell me about it,” she offered, laying a hand on the cushion beside her.
”Well, I’m not sure there’s much to tell. It seems like so long ago,” I said, going into the story with every detail I remembered. From me staring into the sky at my Claiming Moon to the summoning of the moon spirit Elune, Annaliese seemed enthralled.
”Did you say Elune?” She asked.
”Yes...why?”
”Do you think Zebreneva would be up for a field trip?” I smiled in reply.

Selina, though visibly livid with Don, said nothing, and so Prince Laranthir dismissed them all. As they exited the Magisterium, Selina requested the Seers join Zio and herself for a midday meal. They all obliged.
Don strolled out of the room in an obnoxious display of confidence. He felt the eyes of the Princes on him, and feeding off the attention, turned around to give them an elaborate bow. A strong hand yanked his forearm and tore him from the doorway.
"That is enough," Raevena scolded, dusting off her robes. Don looked her up and down and smirked.
"The babysitter," he sighed. "Selina must have asked you make me behave. Well, I-"
Before Don could finish whatever insult had formed on his lips his body erupted in searing pain, crippling him and bringing him to his knees. Raevena's left hand was curled into a claw, and the faintest of blue flames licked her finger tips. Don's face was contorted into a soundless, and agonizing, scream.
"I am Lady Raevena Qathar, little human, and have three and a half centuries on you," she whispered to him. "I do not trust you. I do not value you. I do not recognize your right to even draw breath in Silver Hills. That display in there, the way you disrespected my Princes and brought shame to Selina and Zio, that is never going to happen in my presence again. You may possess the strength and power you claim to have, but you forget yourself. You are no match me, the Princes, or even my servants."
Raevena released her spell just as two tears broke free from Don's eyes. He gasped and fell onto his hands, and then looked up at Raevena in outrage. She looked down at him, waiting for him to bite some poison out at her, but he stayed silent.
"Now, we have work to do," she told him. Again, she dusted off her robes, even though they were still pristine, and continued, "Despite my personal feelings towards you, Prince Laranthir has allowed you an opportunity to prove yourself. And the Seers have no immediate objections, so lets get to it."
With that, Raevena turned on her heel and made for the work rooms of the Magesterium, leaving Don there on his hands and knees.
Don dropped his head, his breath still labored. We'll kill her first.

Colt:
I was a long flight from Aleria to the province of Albion, but Eva didn’t seem bothered. She laid down to rest while Annaliese began to lead us into the woods.
“Annaliese? Why are you leading me into the forest?” I asked, following her ever deeper into the enchanted woods of Albion.
“You’re fused with Elune,” she replied as if I should know the answer.
“Well, I wouldn’t say fused exactly...”
“You told me that at your Claiming your grandfather and the Oracle summoned the moon spirit and asked her to attach herself to you and she did so,” Annaliese said, never ceasing her hike.
“Only the purest and lightest part,” I replied.
“I doubt anyone of this plane can can divy up the light and dark aspects of themselves. Spirits are no different. Elune is, by nature, a light spirit. She joined with you at your Claiming. You mean to tell me you’ve never noticed that your powers are stronger at night? Particularly under a full moon?”
I opened my mouth to reply, but then memories came rushing back. It was night when I had created the vortex that banished Raven to Lavender Coast. It was night when I triggered the Dragon Fire that decimated the forces of Necrosis. Most importantly, I was Claimed under a full moon on my sixteenth birthday.
“Exactly,” she said, “we’re here.”
I stared up that the temple in awe. It rose out of the earth flawlessly, completely one with the forest around it.
“What is this?” I asked.
“This,” she said, pausing, “is the Temple of Elune.”
“Elune is here?” I asked, looking back at the temple.
“Each spirit, no matter how small, has their own gateway to this realm. They can be summoned by one with great power at significant times, but other than that they must use their gate. They cannot drift too far from it, but they can offer help when needed.”
“But if they can be summoned, why have gateways?” I asked.
“It’s one thing to force a spirit from the Spirit World before you, but for them to come willingly and give you aid is another.”
With that, she walked towards the giant oaken doors, which opened on their own.
“She must be growing impatient,” Annaliese said.
We walked down a long hallway to another set of doors. When she made to open them, they didn’t budge.
“Well, that’s new and different.”
“Let me-“ I said, placing my hand on one of the door handles. There was a tiny burst of light and the door eased open.
“Clearly, she wishes to speak with only you. I will be anxiously awaiting.”
I nervously stepped into the shrine, and the door slammed shut behind me.
When I turned, I could hardly believe my eyes. There was a dais at the far end of the room, surrounded by burbling fountains. An ethereal woman stood tall and proud upon it, with silvery hair that fell well past her waist. Her eyes glowed white, but not in a frightening way.
“Come child,” she said in a silken voice that echoed throughout the room. I nervously knelt before the dais in respect.
“Rise. I have long awaited your arrival. You have been through and learned much since I last laid eyes upon you,” Elune said.
“I have indeed,” I replied.
“I have watched the world through your eyes, Coltari. I am sorry to tell you that another battle is fast approaching you and your loved ones,” she replied.
“I can’t say I’m surprised, I have felt a sense of foreboding for a long while.”
“I’m rather surprised that you have not questioned how I know this,” she said.
“I read somewhere that you see things yet to happen.”
“You are a smart young man. I chose well. Don’t fear what is coming. With unity, many impossible things can be achieved. I will also bestow upon you a gift,” she said, gliding toward me and placing a hand on my forehead. I felt an instant rush of power flow through me.
“This gift will deepen our connection when you are far from this place. It does not grant you new abilities as your other gifts have. It will allow you to call upon me in times of great need, and it will magnify your powers beyond your imagination. Beware, for if used for too long, the effects could be deadly. Now go, for even though times of darkness lay ahead, times of great joy will come first.”
