Did you set a build for sPvP? If you do unranked you don't have to have the best gear for it. In ranked you do.

I haven't been on the site much until recently, and no one in game will help you? That's weird, considering it's one of the nicest gaming communities I've been a part of both late at night and during the day. In my opinion, though, you should work on learning more aspects of the game through PvE before taking on PvP and WvW a whole lot. Once you understand the game and how it works better, then you can push yourself into working on the other aspects (PvP and WvW) and see if you like them or not.

Thief is a hard class to learn how to play or to play in general. I have a level 80 Thief and I still do not understand it (and I'm trying to take it into WvW and there's thieves that murder me there!). In my opinion, I would suggest trying all aspects of Thief and all the weapons with all the combinations. Find something you like, then maybe try to do PvP once you understand it a bit better. You don't have to go all the way to max (80) but you should still take your time in the beginning to just play the game and enjoy it the way it is. I did, and it makes me appreciate the game even more because it's just such a living world unlike any other. Even in WvW, when they added Edge of the Mists, you can see the Frostreach Safe Zone's balloon from any place on any map in WvW by looking to the sky and somewhat north westward. It's a cool thing, and the game is a great one. Enjoy it your first time through, once you get to understanding Thief a bit better and feel like you're ready then try sPvP again. You won't regret it, I promise.

Being new to the game, you really do need to experience into the content before you get yourself into anything PvP! That is my one piece of advice I always tell everyone that is starting on their first character. You still need to learn the mechanics of the game, and the best way to do that is through PvE in all honesty! =)

Nobody tells me anything bout this game i asked for help but i given no help yet till now Retro Daisy & Lanthun are right. You are way better at it already than I am. I am lousy at even WvE. Some games have higher learning curves. I am still struggling with the basics in ALL the games I am playing. Even in FR I was maxed but most of my wins were chance.

Builds are like your traits, you can access them by hitting "H" in game and on the little bar on the far left of the pop up, hit the second spot. (where the blue arrow is pointing and it says "Skills and Traits" Now, click on "Traits" (where the blue arrow is) and this is what the screen looks like (this is on a Ranger, btw. It changes according to class.)
