A former Free Realms player brought this series to my attention about a month back on Facebook and recommended that I give it a try. It has appeared in various cartoon based networks in the U.S., to include Nickelodeon. Season one is currently available on Netflix, and season two is set to debut early this December. If you are not a Netflix subscriber, the entirety of season one can be found on Youtube, as well. Just search for "Miraculous Ladybug" and you can easily find all 26 episodes.
I recommend the series and suggest if you wish to check it out that you skip the original sequence of arrangement and begin with the two "Origins" episodes. Most every episode of Miraculous is designed to be a stand-alone feature with the exception of three. Those three are the season ender, "Volpina" which was followed by the two-part prequel, "Origins." When the series was released to the American audience, "Origins" was moved up to episodes 17 and 18, the beginning of the final third of the series.
While I am sure the original producers placed "Origins" at the end of the series for artistic purposes, art is not science. By its very nature, art is open to interpretation and my interpretation of this series leads me to feel that "Origins" is better suited as an opening chapter than as a back-story. I do not see how any of the remaining 24 episodes are spoiled by this rearrangement and since I have access to the entire series at one time I see no reason to not run it in chronological order.
I'm going to post the Origins episodes here for those that would like to check the series out. I can not guarantee the links will remain valid, so check them out while you have a chance and I will try to repost them if they go down. If all else fails, you should still be able to find them on Youtube, along with the remaining 24 episodes.

Synopsis:
It is an alternate-reality, modern-day Paris. Marinette and Adrien are normal middle school kids that have become embroiled in a not so normal adventure. Chosen by the mysterious benefactor, Master Fu, to save Paris from evil, they have been entrusted with ancient talismans and a pair of mysterious creatures called Kwami. The Kwami serve as companions and advisers to the children and in time of crisis they combine with a talisman to grant the children with powerful... but temporary, super-powers.
Evil Akuma have infested the city of Paris. By feeding off the negative emotions of individuals, they are able to reshape that negative energy and use it to transform everyday citizens into super-villains. It is up to Marinette [Ladybug], Adrien [Cat Noir], and their Kwamis, Tikki and Plagg, to defeat the "evilized" citizen, capture the Akuma before it can spread its evil infestation, and restore Paris to its proper order.
The kids work together to accomplish this goal. Cat Noir provides the power of destruction to directly oppose the super-villains, while Ladybug's powers are a blend of creation, luck, and restoration. It is she that has the ability to capture the evil Akuma and restore the damage caused... along with bailing Cat Noir out of the trouble his ego sometimes lands him in on occasion, and occasion, and... well... I'm sure you get the picturea. And yet, Ladybug depends upon Cat Noir to protect her while she accomplishes the greater task.
Despite working closely as a team, they are ignorant of one another's actual identity. Marinette is unaware that beneath the mask of the flirtatious and often annoying Cat Noir is Adrien, her not-so-secret crush. Similarly, Adrien, who is in love with Ladybug, has no idea that she is Marinette, the shy girl that shares his class in school.

I hope you enjoyed the preview and took the time to watch the "Origin" episodes. I found the series to be amusing because of the frequent references to pop culture that are buried within many of the episodes. Just to name a few, I caught a few scenes that were almost direct takes from the Spiderman universe of movies. I also caught references to Batman (with a heavy dose of Catwoman), Star Wars, and even the Rolling Stones, among many others, all of which are rolled up in a cartoon with elements of Sailor Moon and Tokyo Mew Mew. Okay, it's not for everyone, and I may well have just talked you out of giving it a try, but I found it to be a blast. I am looking forward to season two, which greatly expands on the premise of the show... but more on that later.
And... Speaking of season two...
Don't forget this little Nugget...
Enjoy the Miraculous Adventure!
