To illustrate how tech challenged I am, I will ask a question that the average grade schooler could probably answer.
The default screen resolution (recommended) for my system is 1280 x 1024, which is what I am currently set on.
I find this a good setting for my aged eyes to see everything that is on screen, but it cuts off the side margins of some (but not the majority of) sites that I visit on a regular basis. Aside from that small handful of sites, I have no problems with this setting. In fact, I rather like it.
Is this not a good setting for internet use, or am I missing something?

Do you think you could post a screenshot of what it looks like, Layla?

As you mentioned, it does cut off a bit of the browsers or windowed mode screens. If you're not missing anything important (ex. Like button, exit button, etc..) then you have nothing to worry about. But if it's cutting off important parts of your web browser click F11 and it will put your browser in Fullscreen mode. As for games put them on Fullscreen mode also so it's not cut off.
