EDIT: 04-07-2016. Please Read.
* A reminder that you are encouraged to mention any social media site you use that is not listed in the poll by simply making a comment, below. We will be glad to take a look at any site suggested by our members.
* There are now two quick links at upper page left (all pages) for Mystic Adventures on Facebook, and Mystic Adventures on Steam.
* Members may now share threads from Facebook and 10 other sites when creating a thread by clicking the Insert/Embed tab on the post options bar. Sharing TO social media has always been an option (and encouraged), so no need to elaborate on that.
* If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to post a comment, below.
* A reminder that this is a long running poll that will not close until October 11th, 2016.
It is my understanding that legendsofmayhem.com, which is where our founder, two co-founders, and several of our core members came from, allowed neither sharing nor linking with social media.
I think that was a good policy for LoM, due to the fact that they catered to a 10+ age bracket, and limited focus to a singular subject. It is the founders desire that this site mirror the high standards that were maintained at LoM, but our structure and needs are not the same. For that reason, I am going to open those restrictions on a TRIAL basis.
We are going to try the following things on a temporary basis. Whether or not this will become permanent, and perhaps expanded upon, will be at the discretion of the Founder and Admin. How members make use of these temporary features will influence that decision greatly.
1. Sharing: I am going to open sharing to Facebook. If that goes well I may open sharing to one or two of the more popular social media sites as well.
2. Linking: We will allow some linking to Facebook if it directly relates to one of our area of interests. For Example: There is a guild in WildStar that has a group page on Facebook. They will be allowed to provide a link for their group page at FB within their guild thread. We ask that you notify a member of staff at Admin level before doing such, and also ask that you do not imbed links within your signature. Admin reserves the right to remove any links that are reported for content or conduct not in keeping with the standards of Mystic Adventures.
3. Inclusion: Mystic Adventures will begin adding social media links to the link threads on various forums. For the time being these links will be limited to "official" sources. Examples of such would be group pages for game distributors and producers. An example for something outside of the gaming boards would be publishing house pages for publishers highlighted in "The Library" section.
It is our desire to met the needs of our community, and you could greatly help with that by responding to both the poll on this thread, and the Social Media Poll #2 thread as well.
It would also be helpful if you would post below if you belong to a social media, or socially oriented site that is not listed in the poll, such as Ello, Deviant Art, or Steam.
Thank you
