A collection of game producers, both mainline and Indie, that have cropped up in the discussion section of the Games People Play board. Most all of these sites have a forum, and generally have a hub to proceed directly to the "official" forum of any game you may be interested in that they feature.
Daybreak Games (formerly SOE ~ Sony On-line Entertainment).
www.daybreakgames.com/
Producers of Everquest, Everquest-2, Everquest Next, Landmark, Planetside-2, Dragons Prophet, DC Universe On-line, and H1Z1.
Features an "All Access Pass" membership that grants premium membership in all games (excluding early access games). Access to Early Access titles are sold on an individual basis, and are also usually available through STEAM. Post production games like the EQ series are F2P (free to play), but premium content requires membership. Some games also offer paid unlocks for specific premium content. Most Daybreak games feature yearly EXPACS (expansion packages), but be advised that EXPACS are NOT included in the cost of membership.
While I can give the majority of Daybreak games a recommendation from a quality standpoint, the monetary cost of staying current with the games can be a little high. Unless you are willing to put up with the restrictions and limitations of F2P, membership plus expansions can add up to be somewhat expensive, especially if you are trying to stay current in more than one title.
KingsIsle Entertainment.

Producers of Wizard101, and Pirate101. Also available is a collection of free flash games, and a series of mobile games. Both can be accessed by use of the above link.
KingsIsle is following in the footsteps of many major producers by offering a pair of games that are F2P (free to play) to a degree, but require membership in order to access premium content, with an option to purchase unlocks for specific content in lieu of membership.
KingsIsle Entertainment develops and publishes high quality family online games that appeal to a wide audience.
KingsIsle’s kid safe games have been honored with awards from the National Parenting Publication, Beckett Massive Online Gamer Magazine, Massively.com and MMORPG.com
While many adults may be a little less than enraptured with KingsIsle's offerings, I can recommend them as a family friendly company that produces a rather popular game.
